that Chadad fled, he and certain Edom of his father's servants with him, to go into Egypt, Chadad being yet a little child.


He built the stories against all the house, each five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.


The door for the middle side chambers was in the right side of the house: and they went up by winding stairs into the middle [story], and out of the middle into the third.


Yeho'ash was seven years old when he began to reign.


He was with her hid in the house of the LORD six years. `Atalyah reigned over the land.


In the seventh year of Yehu began Yeho'ash to reign; and he reigned forty years in Yerushalayim: and his mother's name was Tzivyah of Be'er-Sheva.


In the fifth year of Yoram the son of Ach'av king of Yisra'el, Yehoshafat being then king of Yehudah, Yehoram the son of Yehoshafat king of Yehudah began to reign.


However the LORD would not destroy Yehudah, for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give to him a lamp for his children always.

But Yehoshav`at, the daughter of the king, took Yo'ash the son of Achazyah, and stole him away from among the king's sons who were slain, and put him and his nurse in the bedchamber. So Yehoshav`at, the daughter of king Yehoram, the wife of Yehoiada the Kohen (for she was the sister of Achazyah), hid him from `Atalyah, so that she didn't kill him.


and the river shall swarm with frogs, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bedchamber, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs:


There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.


'For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake.'*


For thus says the LORD: David shall never want a man to sit on the throne of the house of Yisra'el;


then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the Kohanim, my ministers.


then will I also cast away the seed of Ya`akov, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Avraham, Yitzchak, and Ya`akov: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them.


Go to the house of the Rechavim, and speak to them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.


The king commanded Yerachme'el the king's son, and Serayah the son of `Azri'el, and Shelemyahu the son of `Avde'el, to take Barukh the scribe and Yirmeyahu the prophet; but the LORD hid them.


He said to me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the Kohanim, the keepers of the charge of the house;


He went to his father's house at Ofrat, and killed his brothers the sons of Yerubba`al, being seventy persons, on one stone: but Yotam the youngest son of Yerubba`al was left; for he hid himself.
