They buried him in his own tombs, which he had hewn out for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odors and various kinds [of spices] prepared by the perfumers' art: and they made a very great burning for him.


and you shall have great sickness by disease of your bowels, until your bowels fall out by reason of the sickness, day by day.


When they were departed for him (for they left him very sick), his own servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Yehoiada the Kohen, and killed him on his bed, and he died; and they buried him in the city of David, but they didn't bury him in the tombs of the kings.


you shall die in shalom; and with the burnings of your fathers, the former kings who were before you, so shall they make a burning for you; and they shall lament you, [saying], Ah Lord! for I have spoken the word, says the LORD.
