The rest of the acts of Yarov`am, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yisra'el.


The days which Yarov`am reigned were two and twenty years: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadav his son reigned in his place.


Three years reigned he in Yerushalayim: and his mother's name was Ma`akhah the daughter of Avishalom.


After her he took Ma`akhah the daughter of Avshalom; and she bore him Aviyah, and `Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomit.


Now the acts of Rechav`am, first and last, aren't they written in the histories of Shemayah the prophet and of `Iddo the seer, after the manner of genealogies? There were wars between Rechav`am and Yarov`am continually.


Aviyah joined battle with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: and Yarov`am set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, who were mighty men of valor.


and Tzelah, Elef, and the Yevusi (the same is Yerushalayim), Giv`at, [and] Kiryat; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Binyamin according to their families.


So they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down on them near to Gevah, which belongs to Binyamin.


Behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even: now the man was of the hill country of Efrayim, and he sojourned in Gevah; but the men of the place were Binyamini.
