His concubine, whose name was Re'umah, also bore Tebah, Gacham, Tachash, and Ma`akhah.


David took him more concubines and wives out of Yerushalayim, after he was come from Chevron; and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.


He had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines; and his wives turned away his heart.


Three years reigned he in Yerushalayim: and his mother's name was Ma`akhah the daughter of Avishalom.


He dealt wisely, and dispersed of all his sons throughout all the lands of Yehudah and Binyamin, to every fortified city: and he gave them food in abundance. He sought [for them] many wives.


Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart not turn away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.


then it shall be, in the day that he causes his sons to inherit that which he has, that he may not make the son of the beloved the firstborn before the son of the hated, who is the firstborn:


Gid`on had seventy sons conceived from his body; for he had many wives.
