When Par`oh drew near, the children of Yisra'el lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Yisra'el cried out to the LORD.


When the men of Yisra'el saw that they were in a strait (for the people were distressed), then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in coverts, and in pits.


When Sha'ul and all Yisra'el heard those words of the Pelishti, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.
