The peoples have heard. They tremble. Pangs have taken hold on the inhabitants of Peleshet.


The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth my hand on Egypt, and bring out the children of Yisra'el from among them.*


For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.


These have the power to shut up the sky, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.


The Pelishtim were afraid, for they said, God is come into the camp. They said, Woe to us! for there has not been such a thing heretofore.


Be strong, and behave yourselves like men, O you Pelishtim, that you not be servants to the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight.


When the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Yisra'el shall not abide with us; for his hand is sore on us, and on Dagon our god.
