David grew greater and greater; for the LORD, the God Tzeva'ot, was with him.


The LORD was with Yehoshafat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and didn't seek the Ba`alim,


Don't throw me from your presence, and don't take your holy Spirit from me.


There they were in great fear, where no fear was, for God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you. You have put them to shame, because God has rejected them.


Though they bring up their children, yet I will bereave them, so that not a man shall be left. Indeed, woe also to them when I depart from them!


Then he will say also to those on the left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;


for Herod feared Yochanan, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.


All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadara asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. He entered into the boat, and returned.


As he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, *Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you.*

Shemu'el did that which the LORD spoke, and came to Beit-Lechem. The elders of the city came to meet him trembling, and said, Come you peaceably?


When Sha'ul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he stood in awe of him.


Mikhal, Sha'ul's daughter, loved David: and they told Sha'ul, and the thing pleased him.


Sha'ul was yet the more afraid of David; and Sha'ul was David's enemy continually.


The LORD do so to Yonatan, and more also, should it please my father to do you evil, if I don't disclose it to you, and send you away, that you may go in shalom: and the LORD be with you, as he has been with my father.


Sha'ul said to him, Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Yishai, in that you have given him bread, and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?


Shemu'el said to Sha'ul, Why have you disquieted me, to bring me up? Sha'ul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Pelishtim make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answers me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I shall do.


Shemu'el grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
