He was with David at Pas-Dammim 1, and there the Pelishtim were gathered together to battle, where was a plot of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Pelishtim.

The Pelishtim also had invaded the cities of the lowland, and of the South of Yehudah, and had taken Beit-Shemesh, and Ayalon, and Kederot, and Sokho with the towns of it, and Timnah with the towns of it, Gimzo also and the towns of it: and they lived there.


when the king of Bavel's army was fighting against Yerushalayim, and against all the cities of Yehudah that were left, against Lakhish and against `Azeka; for these [alone] remained of the cities of Yehudah [as] fortified cities.


Yarmut, and `Adullam, Sokho, and `Azeka,


[namely], the five lords of the Pelishtim, and all the Kena`anim, and the Tzidonim, and the Chivvi who lived on Mount Levanon, from Mount Ba`al-Chermon to the entrance of Chamat.

Then Sha'ul went up from following the Pelishtim; and the Pelishtim went to their own place.


There was sore war against the Pelishtim all the days of Sha'ul: and when Sha'ul saw any mighty man, or any valiant man, he took him to him.


When the Pelishtim heard that the children of Yisra'el were gathered together at Mitzpah, the lords of the Pelishtim went up against Yisra'el. When the children of Yisra'el heard it, they were afraid of the Pelishtim.
