Now therefore, restore the man's wife. For he is a prophet, and he will pray for you, and you will live. If you don't restore her, know for sure that you will die, you, and all who are yours.*


Whether it is for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness, that he causes it to come.


Now therefore, take to yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Iyov, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Iyov shall pray for you, for I will accept him, that I not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Iyov has.*


Now therefore please forgive my sin again, and pray to the LORD your God, that he may also take away from me this death.*


It happened on the next day, that Moshe said to the people, *You have sinned a great sin. Now I will go up to the LORD. Perhaps I shall make atonement for your sin.*


Pray to the LORD; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.*


LORD, in trouble they have visited you. They poured out a prayer when your chastening was on them.


Then said the LORD to me, Though Moshe and Shemu'el stood before me, yet my mind would not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.


But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of Armies, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Yehudah, and at Yerushalayim, don't go to Bavel.


Tzidkiyahu the king sent Yehukhal the son of Shelemyahu, and Tzefanyah the son of Ma`aseyah, the Kohen, to the prophet Yirmeyahu, saying, Pray now to the LORD our God for us.


and said to Yirmeyahu the prophet, Let, we pray you, our supplication be presented before you, and pray for us to the LORD your God, even for all this remnant; for we are left but a few of many, as your eyes do see us:


*Now, please entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With this, will he accept any of you?* says the LORD of Armies.


The people came to Moshe, and said, We have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD, and against you; pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. Moshe prayed for the people.


Shim`on answered, *Pray for me to the Lord, that none of the things which you have spoken happen to me.*


and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.


If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I don't say that he should make a request concerning this.


Now therefore see the king whom you have chosen, and whom you have asked for: and behold, the LORD has set a king over you.


Isn't it wheat harvest today? I will call to the LORD, that he may send thunder and rain; and you shall know and see that your wickedness is great, which you have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.


Shemu'el said to the people, *Don't be afraid; you have indeed done all this evil; yet don't turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart:


Moreover as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will instruct you in the good and the right way.


Shemu'el said, *Gather all Yisra'el to Mitzpah, and I will pray for you to the LORD.*


The children of Yisra'el said to Shemu'el, *Don't cease to cry to the LORD our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Pelishtim.*


But the thing displeased Shemu'el, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. Shemu'el prayed to the LORD.
