Let the husband render to his wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.

Don't grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Husbands, love your wives, and don't be bitter against them.

Aren't they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?


In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word;
