In that day the LORD made a covenant with Avram, saying, *To your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Perat:


Shlomo awoke; and behold, it was a dream: and he came to Yerushalayim, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered shalom offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.


Shlomo ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Pelishtim, and to the border of Egypt: they brought tribute, and served Shlomo all the days of his life.


For he had dominion over all [the region] on this side the River, from Tifsach even to `Aza, over all the kings on this side the River: and he had shalom on all sides round about him.


All the men of Yisra'el assembled themselves to king Shlomo at the feast, in the month Etanim, which is the seventh month.


On the eighth day he sent the people away; and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had shown to David his servant, and to Yisra'el his people.


He restored the border of Yisra'el from the entrance of Chamat to the sea of the `Aravah, according to the word of the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, which he spoke by his servant Yonah the son of Ammittai, the prophet, who was of Gat-Chefer.


The king of Ashur brought men from Bavel, and from Kutah, and from Avva, and from Chamat and Sefarvayim, and placed them in the cities of Shomron instead of the children of Yisra'el; and they possessed Shomron, and lived in the cities of it.


Par`oh-Nekho put him in bonds at Rivlah in the land of Chamat, that he might not reign in Yerushalayim; and put the land to a tribute of one hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.


and the Arvadi, and the Tzemari, and the Chamati.


So David assembled all Yisra'el together, from the Shichor [the brook] of Egypt even to the entrance of Chamat, to bring the ark of God from Kiryat-Ye`arim.


There assembled at Yerushalayim much people to keep the feast of matzah in the second month, a very great assembly.


The whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days; and they kept [other] seven days with gladness.


I will set your border from the Sea of Suf even to the sea of the Pelishtim, and from the wilderness to the River; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.


It will happen in that day, that the LORD will thresh from the flowing stream of the Perat to the brook of Egypt; and you will be gathered one by one, children of Yisra'el.


The south side southward shall be from Tamar as far as the waters of Merivot-Kadesh, to the brook [of Egypt], to the great sea. This is the south side southward.


For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, house of Yisra'el,* says the LORD, the God Tzeva'ot; *and they will afflict you from the entrance of Chamat to the brook of the `Aravah.*


Go to Kalneh, and see; and from there go to Chamat the great; then go down to Gat of the Pelishtim. are they better than these kingdoms? or is their border greater than your border?


and the border shall turn about from `Atzmon to the brook of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.


from Mount Hor you shall mark out to the entrance of Chamat; and the goings out of the border shall be at Tzedad;


from the Shichor, which is before Egypt, even to the border of `Ekron northward, [which] is reckoned to the Kena`anim; the five lords of the Pelishtim; the `Azati, and the Ashdodi, the Eshkeloni, the Gitti, and the `Ekroni; also the `Avvim,


and the land of the Givli, and all Levanon, toward the sunrise, from Ba`al-Gad under Mount Chermon to the entrance of Chamat;


The lot for the tribe of the children of Yehudah according to their families was to the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Tzin southward, at the uttermost part of the south.


and it passed along to `Atzmon, and went out at the brook of Egypt; and the goings out of the border were at the sea: this shall be your south border.


The fortified cities were Tziddim, Tzer, and Chammat, Rakkat, and Kinneret,


[namely], the five lords of the Pelishtim, and all the Kena`anim, and the Tzidonim, and the Chivvi who lived on Mount Levanon, from Mount Ba`al-Chermon to the entrance of Chamat.
