The house which I build is great; for great is our God above all gods.


But who is able to build him a house, seeing heaven and the heaven of heavens can't contain him? who am I then, that I should build him a house, save only to burn incense before him?


But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can't contain you; how much less this house which I have built!


The LORD is high above all nations, his glory above the heavens.


Praise him, you heavens of heavens, You waters that are above the heavens.


To him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which are of old; behold, he utters his voice, a mighty voice.


Thus says the LORD, heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will you build to me? and what place shall be my rest?


Can any hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says the LORD. Don't I fill heaven and earth? says the LORD.


The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.


The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn't dwell in temples made with hands,
