He said to him, I also am a prophet as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with you into your house, that he may eat bread and drink water. [But] he lied to him.


The LORD said, 'Who shall entice Ach'av, that he may go up and fall at Ramot Gil`ad?' One said on this manner; and another said on that manner.


There came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, 'I will entice him.'


Elisha said to the king of Yisra'el, What have I to do with you? get you to the prophets of your father, and to the prophets of your mother. The king of Yisra'el said to him, No; for the LORD has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Mo'av.


The LORD said to Hasatan, *Behold, all that he has is in your power. Only on himself don't put forth your hand.* So Hasatan went forth from the presence of the LORD.


With him is strength and wisdom. The deceived and the deceiver are his.


Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn't delight in blessing, and it was far from him.


The LORD has mixed a spirit of perverseness in the midst of her; and they have caused Egypt to go astray in all of its works, like a drunken man staggers in his vomit.


If the prophet be deceived and speak a word, I, the LORD, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Yisra'el.

Now the Spirit of the LORD departed from Sha'ul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.


It happened on the next day, that an evil spirit from God came mightily on Sha'ul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as he did day by day. Sha'ul had his spear in his hand;


An evil spirit from the LORD was on Sha'ul, as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand; and David was playing with his hand.
