Eliyahu said to Ach'av, Get you up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.


Ach'av told Izevel all that Eliyahu had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword.


All the people of the land went to the house of Ba`al, and broke it down; his altars and his images broke they in pieces thoroughly, and killed Mattan the Kohen of Ba`al before the altars. The Kohen appointed officers over the house of the LORD.


So they made way for her; and she went to the entrance of the horse gate to the king's house: and they killed her there.

*He who sacrifices to any god, except to the LORD only, shall be utterly destroyed.


Cursed be he who does the work of the LORD negligently; and cursed be he who keeps back his sword from blood.


That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which the LORD your God commanded you to walk in. The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.


The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.


Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Charoshet of the Gentiles, to the river Kishon.


I will draw to you, to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Yavin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into your hand.


The river Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. My soul, march on with strength.
