The servant took ten camels, of his master's camels, and departed, having a variety of good things of his master's with him. He arose, and went to Aram-Naharayim, to the city of Nachor.


Avraham said to his servant, the elder of his house, who ruled over all that he had, *Please put your hand under my thigh.


Yosef found favor in his sight. He ministered to him, and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.


He isn't greater in this house than I, neither has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?*


Ba`sha the son of Achiyah, of the house of Yissakhar, conspired against him; and Ba`sha struck him at Gibbeton, which belonged to the Pelishtim; for Nadav and all Yisra'el were laying siege to Gibbeton.


and Zimri went in and struck him, and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Yehudah, and reigned in his place.

It is not for kings, Lemo'el; it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes to say, 'Where is strong drink?'


I will make drunk her princes and her wise men, her governors and her deputies, and her mighty men; and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake up, says the King, whose name is the LORD of Armies.


In that night Belshatzar the Kasdai King was slain.


For entangled like thorns, and drunken as with their drink, they are consumed utterly like dry stubble.


*So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.
