Ba`sha the son of Achiyah, of the house of Yissakhar, conspired against him; and Ba`sha struck him at Gibbeton, which belonged to the Pelishtim; for Nadav and all Yisra'el were laying siege to Gibbeton.


In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Yehudah did Zimri reign seven days in Tirtzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbeton, which belonged to the Pelishtim.


`Omri 1 went up from Gibbeton, and all Yisra'el with him, and they besieged Tirtzah.


Ach'av the son of `Omri 1 did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were before him.


Twenty-two years old was Achazyah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Yerushalayim. His mother's name was `Atalyah the daughter of `Omri 1 king of Yisra'el.


Forty-two years old was Achazyah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Yerushalayim: and his mother's name was `Atalyah the daughter of `Omri 1.


For the statutes of `Omri 1 are kept, and all the works of the house of Ach'av. You walk in their counsels, that I may make you a ruin, and her inhabitants a hissing; And you will bear the reproach of my people.*
