By the sweat of your face will you eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For you are dust, and to dust you shall return.*


If I have said to corruption, 'You are my father;' to the worm, 'My mother,' and 'my sister;'


For you will not leave my soul in She'ol, neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption.


They are appointed as a flock for She'ol. Death shall be their shepherd. The upright shall have dominion over them in the morning. Their beauty shall decay in She'ol, far from their mansion.


That he should live on forever, that he should not see corruption.


Behold, for shalom I had great anguish, but you have in love for my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for you have cast all my sins behind your back.


Those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
