The sons of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gil`ad the son of Makhir, the son of Menasheh.


The sons of Shemida were Achyan, and Shekhem, and Likchi, and Ani`am.


These are the sons of Gil`ad: [of] I`ezer, the family of the I`ezri; of Chelek, the family of the Chelki;


So [the lot] was for the rest of the children of Menasheh according to their families: for the children of Avi-Ezer, and for the children of Chelek, and for the children of Asri'el, and for the children of Shekhem, and for the children of Chefer, and for the children of Shemida: these were the male children of Menasheh the son of Yosef according to their families.


The angel of the LORD came, and sat under the oak which was in Ofrat, that pertained to Yo'ash the Avi-Ezri: and his son Gid`on was beating out wheat in the winepress, to hide it from the Midyanim.


Then Gid`on built an altar there to the LORD, and called it the LORD is Shalom: to this day it is still in Ofrat of the Abiezrites.


But the Spirit of the LORD came on Gid`on; and he blew a shofar; and Avi-Ezer was gathered together after him.


He said to them, What have I now done in comparison with you? Isn't the gleaning of the grapes of Efrayim better than the vintage of Avi-Ezer?
