Yeho'ash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Shomron with the kings of Yisra'el; and Yarov`am his son reigned in his place.


In the fifteenth year of Amatzyah the son of Yo'ash king of Yehudah Yarov`am the son of Yo'ash king of Yisra'el began to reign in Shomron, [and reigned] forty-one years.


Now the rest of the acts of Yarov`am, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Chamat, [which had belonged] to Yehudah, for Yisra'el, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yisra'el?


In the second year of Pekach the son of Remalyahu king of Yisra'el began Yotam the son of `Uzziyah king of Yehudah to reign.


The LORD struck the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and lived in a separate house. Yotam the king's son was over the household, judging the people of the land.


His brothers by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned: the chief, Ye`i'el, and Zekharyah,


Yotam was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Yerushalayim: and his mother's name was Yerusha the daughter of Tzadok.
