It happened, when the king lived in his house, and the LORD had given him rest from all his enemies round about,


and [as] from the day that I commanded judges to be over my people Yisra'el; and I will cause you to rest from all your enemies. Moreover the LORD tells you that the LORD will make you a house.


I have surely built you a house of habitation, a place for you to dwell in forever.


But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can't contain you; how much less this house that I have built!


Isn't the LORD your God with you? Hasn't he given you rest on every side? for he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.


Yehoiada appointed the officers of the house of the LORD under the hand of the Kohanim the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the Torah of Moshe, with rejoicing and with singing, according to the order of David.


Blessed be the LORD from Tziyon, Who dwells at Yerushalayim. Praise the LORD!


Why do you look in envy, you rugged mountains, at the mountain where God chooses to reign? Yes, the LORD will dwell there forever.


You have ascended on high. You have led away captives. You have received gifts among men, yes, among the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell there.


Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Tziyon, and declare among the people what he has done.


Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and for wonders in Yisra'el from the LORD of Armies, who dwells in Mount Tziyon.


It shall be eighteen thousand [reeds] round about: and the name of the city from that day shall be, the LORD is there.


I will cleanse their blood, that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwells in Tziyon.*
