The LORD was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.


When the angel stretched out his hand toward Yerushalayim to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel who destroyed the people, It is enough; now stay your hand. The angel of the LORD was by the threshing floor of Aravna the Yevusi.


Gad came that day to David, and said to him, Go up, rear an altar to the LORD in the threshing floor of Aravna the Yevusi.


But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die, and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

When the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it grieved the LORD because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and vexed them.


It grieves me that I have set up Sha'ul to be king; for he is turned back from following me, and has not performed my mitzvot. Shemu'el was angry; and he cried to the LORD all night.
