So the LORD sent a pestilence on Yisra'el from the morning even to the time appointed; and there died of the people from Dan even to Be'er-Sheva seventy thousand men.


It happened that night, that the angel of the LORD went forth, and struck in the camp of the Ashur one hundred eighty-five thousand: and when men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.


Yo'av the son of Tzeru'yah began to number, but didn't finish; and there came wrath for this on Yisra'el; neither was the number put into the account in the chronicles of king David.
