There was again war with the Pelishtim at Gov; and Elchanan the son of Ya`are-Oregim the Beit-Hallachmite killed Golyat the Gittite's brother, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.


He killed an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and killed him with his own spear.


There was again war at Gat, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were twenty-four, six [on each hand], and six [on each foot]; and he also was born to the Rafa.


There went out a champion out of the camp of the Pelishtim, named Golyat, of Gat, whose height was six cubits and a span.


The staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head [weighed] six hundred shekels of iron: and his shield bearer went before him.


The Kohen said, The sword of Golyat the Pelishti, whom you killed in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the efod: if you will take that, take it; for there is no other except that here. David said, There is none like that; give it me.


He inquired of the LORD for him, and gave him food, and gave him the sword of Golyat the Pelishti.
