Your house and your kingdom shall be made sure for ever before you: your throne shall be established forever.


Now therefore thus shall you tell my servant David, Thus says the LORD of Armies, I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, that you should be prince over my people, over Yisra'el;


Blessed be the LORD your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Yisra'el: because the LORD loved Yisra'el forever, therefore made he you king, to do justice and righteousness.


Chiram king of Tzor sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and masons, and carpenters, to build him a house.


David took more wives at Yerushalayim; and David became the father of more sons and daughters.


This was a small thing in your eyes, God; but you have spoken of your servant's house for a great while to come, and have regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, LORD God.


Behold, I will give to your servants, the cutters who cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.


Then Churam the king of Tzor answered in writing, which he sent to Shlomo, *Because the LORD loves his people, he has made you king over them.*


For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Who knows if you haven't come to the kingdom for such a time as this?*


But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but to the intent that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart.


Water shall flow from his buckets. His seed shall be in many waters. His king shall be higher than Agag. His kingdom shall be exalted.


It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all his mitzvot which I command you this day, that the LORD your God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth:
