David again gathered together all the chosen men of Yisra'el, thirty thousand.


Shlomo ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Pelishtim, and to the border of Egypt: they brought tribute, and served Shlomo all the days of his life.


So Shlomo held the feast at that time, and all Yisra'el with him, a great assembly, from the entrance of Chamat to the brook of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.


The king of Bavel struck them, and put them to death at Rivlah in the land of Chamat. So Yehudah was carried away captive out of his land.


All the assembly said that they would do so; for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.


David went up, and all Yisra'el, to Ba`alah, [that is], to Kiryat-Ye`arim, which belonged to Yehudah, to bring up from there the ark of God the LORD that sits [above] the Keruvim, that is called by the Name.


David assembled all Yisra'el at Yerushalayim, to bring up the ark of the LORD to its place, which he had prepared for it.


On great waters, the seed of the Shichor, the harvest of the Nile 1, was her revenue. She was the market of nations.


Now what have you to do in the way to Egypt, to drink the waters of the Shichor? or what have you to do in the way to Ashur, to drink the waters of the River?


The children of Yisra'el traveled, and came to their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Giv`on, and Kefirah, and Be'erot, and Kiryat-Ye`arim.


They sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kiryat-Ye`arim, saying, The Pelishtim have brought back the ark of the LORD; come you down, and bring it up to you.


The men of Kiryat-Ye`arim came, and fetched up the ark of the LORD, and brought it into the house of Avinadav in the hill, and sanctified El`azar his son to keep the ark of the LORD.


It happened, from the day that the ark abode in Kiryat-Ye`arim, that the time was long; for it was twenty years: and all the house of Yisra'el lamented after the LORD.
