Numbers 6:12 - Good News Translation (US Version)

12 and rededicate to the Lord your time as a nazirite. The previous period of time doesn't count, because your consecrated hair was defiled. As a repayment offering you shall bring a one-year-old lamb.

You may choose either a sheep or a goat, but it must be a one-year-old male without any defects.


“But if a righteous person stops doing good and starts doing all the evil, disgusting things that evil people do, will he go on living? No! None of the good he did will be remembered. He will die because of his unfaithfulness and his sins.


The priest shall take the lamb and the olive oil and present them as a special gift to the Lord for the priest.


and as the penalty for your sin you must bring to the Lord a female sheep or goat as an offering. The priest shall offer the sacrifice for your sin.


If you cannot afford a sheep or a goat, you shall bring to the Lord as the payment for your sin two doves or two pigeons, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.


The priest shall offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, to perform the ritual of purification for you because of your contact with a corpse. On the same day you shall reconsecrate your hair


When you complete your nazirite vow, you shall perform this ritual. You shall go to the entrance of the Tent


But whoever holds out to the end will be saved.


But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so for now. For in this way we shall do all that God requires.” So John agreed.


Whoever breaks one commandment is guilty of breaking them all.


Be on your guard, then, so that you will not lose what we have worked for, but will receive your reward in full.
