The money given for the repayment offerings and for the offerings for sin was not deposited in the box; it belonged to the priests.


You must make the payments you have failed to hand over and must pay an additional 20 percent. You shall give it to the priest, and the priest shall offer the animal as a sacrifice for your sin, and you will be forgiven.


There is one regulation that applies to both the sin offering and the repayment offering: the meat belongs to the priest who offers the sacrifice.


you must confess your sin and make full repayment, plus an additional 20 percent, to the person you have wronged.


Also every special contribution which the Israelites offer to the Lord belongs to the priest to whom they present it.
