I will give you many descendants, and they will become a great nation. I will bless you and make your name famous, so that you will be a blessing.


and Azariah the High Priest, a descendant of Zadok, said to him, “Since the people started bringing their gifts to the Temple, there has been enough to eat and a large surplus besides. We have all this because the Lord has blessed his people.”


Happy is the nation of whom this is true; happy are the people whose God is the Lord!


Happy are those who have the God of Jacob to help them and who depend on the Lord their God,


They will be famous among the nations; Everyone who sees them will know That they are a people whom I have blessed.”


My people, remember what King Balak of Moab planned to do to you and how Balaam son of Beor answered him. Remember the things that happened on the way from the camp at Acacia to Gilgal. Remember these things and you will realize what I did in order to save you.”

How can I curse what God has not cursed, Or speak of doom when the Lord has not?


The nation is like a mighty lion; When it is sleeping, no one dares wake it. Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed, And whoever curses Israel will be cursed.”


While Pilate was sitting in the judgment hall, his wife sent him a message: “Have nothing to do with that innocent man, because in a dream last night I suffered much on account of him.”


For God does not change his mind about whom he chooses and blesses.


Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! For in our union with Christ he has blessed us by giving us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world.


“Remember how the Lord your God has blessed you in everything that you have done. He has taken care of you as you wandered through this vast desert. He has been with you these forty years, and you have had everything you needed.


But the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam; instead he turned the curse into a blessing, because he loved you.


“The Lord will bless everything you do.


Israel, how happy you are! There is no one like you, a nation saved by the Lord. The Lord himself is your shield and your sword, to defend you and give you victory. Your enemies will come begging for mercy, and you will trample them down.


No people in the world will be as richly blessed as you. None of you nor any of your livestock will be sterile.
