Don't condemn me, God. Tell me! What is the charge against me?


If you kept a record of our sins, who could escape being condemned?


Don't put me, your servant, on trial; no one is innocent in your sight.


Moses prayed earnestly to the Lord and said, “What can I do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”


Then Moses turned to the Lord again and said, “Lord, why do you mistreat your people? Why did you send me here?


What an unhappy man I am! Why did my mother bring me into the world? I have to quarrel and argue with everyone in the land. I have not lent any money or borrowed any; yet everyone curses me.


Why do I keep on suffering? Why are my wounds incurable? Why won't they heal? Do you intend to disappoint me like a stream that goes dry in the summer?”


You have said, ‘It's useless to serve God. What's the use of doing what he says or of trying to show the Lord Almighty that we are sorry for what we have done?


Moses heard all the people complaining as they stood around in groups at the entrances of their tents. He was distressed because the Lord had become angry with them,


If you are going to treat me like this, have pity on me and kill me, so that I won't have to endure your cruelty any longer.”


And not to mention other things, every day I am under the pressure of my concern for all the churches.


But how can I alone bear the heavy responsibility for settling your disputes?
