King Hiram of Tyre had always been a friend of David's, and when he heard that Solomon had succeeded his father David as king, he sent ambassadors to him.


They came to Jesus and begged him earnestly, “This man really deserves your help.


So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the officer sent friends to tell him, “Sir, don't trouble yourself. I do not deserve to have you come into my house,


For when we are in union with Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor the lack of it makes any difference at all; what matters is faith that works through love.


We know that we have left death and come over into life; we know it because we love others. Those who do not love are still under the power of death.
