Thus saith the king: Let not Ezechias deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of my hand.


In the Lord I put my trust: how then do you say to my soul, Get thee away from hence to the mountain like a sparrow?


He bowed the heavens, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.


And you rose up against me with your mouth, and have derogated from me by your words: I have heard them.


They returned, that they might be without yoke: they became like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword, for the rage of their tongue. This is their derision in the land of Egypt.


And especially them who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government, audacious, self willed, they fear not to bring in sects, blaspheming.


For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:


These are murmurers, full of complaints, walking according to their own desires, and their mouth speaketh proud things, admiring persons for gain's sake.


Now there was no smith to be found in all the land of Israel; for the Philistines had taken this precaution, lest the Hebrews should make them swords or spears.
