That thou mayst be delivered from the strange women, and from the stranger, who softeneth her words:


The mouth of a strange woman is a deep pit: he whom the Lord is angry with, shall fall into it.


Why art thou seduced, my son, by a strange woman, and art cherished in the bosom of another?


That they may keep thee from the evil woman, and from the flattering tongue of the stranger.


She entangled him with many words, and drew him away with the flattery of her lips.


That she may keep thee from the woman that is not thine, and from the stranger who sweeteneth her words.


I have surveyed all things with my mind, to know, and consider, and seek out wisdom and reason: and to know the wickedness of the fool, and the error of the imprudent:


Thy lips, my spouse, are as a dropping honeycomb, honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments, as the smell of frankincense.
