I am brought to nothing: as a wind thou hast taken away my desire: and my prosperity hath passed away like a cloud.


His strength is in his loins, and his force in the navel of his belly.


The way of the wicked is darksome: they know not where they fall.


For the stars of heaven and their brightness shall not display their light: the sun shall be darkened in his rising, and the moon shall not shine with her light.


Behold, the day of the Lord shall come, a cruel day, and full of indignation, and of wrath, and fury, to lay the land desolate, and to destroy the sinners thereof out of it.


And I will set judgment in weight, and justice in measure: and hail shall overturn the hope of falsehood, and waters shall overflow its protection.


And your league with death shall be abolished, and your covenant with hell shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge shall pass, you shall be trodden down by it.


Behold, the Lord is mighty and strong, as a storm of hail: a destroying whirlwind, as the violence of many waters overflowing, and sent forth upon a spacious land.


And they shall look to the earth, and behold trouble and darkness, weakness and distress, and a mist following them and they cannot fly away from their distress.


Give ye glory to the Lord your God, before it be dark, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains. You shall look for light and he will turn it into the shadow of death and into darkness.
