And he said to him: Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passeth. And a great and strong wind before the Lord over throwing the mountains, and breaking the rocks in pieces: the Lord is not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake: the Lord is not in the earthquake.


The pillars of heaven tremble and dread at his beck.


His strength is in his loins, and his force in the navel of his belly.


Who hath removed mountains, and they whom he overthrew in his wrath knew it not.


Let Israel hope in the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.


Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you perish from the just way:


And I meditated in the night with my own heart: and I was exercised and I swept my spirit.


Will God then cast off for ever? or will he never be more favourable again?


For he hath given his angels charge over thee; to keep thee in all thy ways.


Therefore the sovereign Lord, the Lord of hosts, shall send leanness among his fat ones: and under his glory shall be kindled a burning, as it were the burning of a fire.


For this, I will trouble the heaven: and the earth shall be moved out of her place: for the indignation of the Lord of hosts, and for the day of his fierce wrath.


There is no indignation in me. Who shall make me a thorn and a brier in battle? Shall I march against it? Shall I set it on fire together?


The sinners in Sion are afraid, trembling hath seized upon the hypocrites. Which of you can dwell with devouring fire? Which of you shall dwell with everlasting burnings?


For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind: to render his wrath in indignation and his rebuke with flames of fire.


But the Lord is the true God: he is the living God and the everlasting king. At his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his threatening.


O house of David, this saith the Lord: Judge ye judgement in the morning, and deliver him that is oppressed by violence out of the hand of the oppressor: lest my indignation go forth like a fire and be kindled, and there be none to quench it, because of the evil of your ways.

And I will make a fire in Egypt: Pelusium shall be in pain like a woman in labour, and Alexandria shall be laid waste, and in Memphis there shall be daily distresses.


And I will send a fire on Magog, and on them that dwell confidently in the islands: and they shall know that I am the Lord.


Now very shortly I will pour out my wrath upon thee and I will accomplish my anger in thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways and I will lay upon thee all thy crimes.


The Lord is a jealous God, and a revenger: the Lord is a revenger, and hath wrath: the Lord taketh vengeance on his adversaries, and he is angry with his enemies.


Before the decree bring forth the day as dust passing away, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the Lord's indignation come upon you.


And who shall be able to think of the day of his coming? and who shall stand to see him? for he is like a refining fire, and like the fuller's herb:


For behold the day shall come kindled as a furnace: and all the proud, and all that do wickedly shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall set them on fire, saith the Lord of hosts, it shall not leave them root, nor branch.


And I heard a great voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels: Go, and pour out the seven vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.


And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun, and it was given unto him to afflict men with heat and fire:


For the great day of their wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand?
