And immediately the sun rose upon him, after he was past Phanuel; but he halted on his foot.


And Jacob lifting up his eyes saw Esau coming, and with him four hundred men; and he divided the children of Lia, and of Rachel, and of the two handmaids:


And Jeroboam built Sichem in mount Ephraim, and dwelt there: and going out from thence he built Phanuel.


And going up from thence, he came to Phanuel: and he spoke the like things to the men of that place. And they also answered him, as the men of Soccoth had answered.


And only the stump of Dagon remained in its place. For this cause neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that go into the temple tread on the threshold of Dagon in Azotus unto this day.
