And again he said to him: But if forty be found there, what wilt thou do? He said: I will not destroy it for the sake of forty.


Seeing, saith he, I have once begun, I will speak to my Lord. What if twenty be found there? He said: I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.


Then Juda coming nearer, said boldly: I beseech thee, my lord, let thy servant speak a word in thy ears, and be not angry with thy servant; for after Pharao thou art


And hast thou an arm like God? And canst thou thunder with a voice like him?


For in thy wrath we have fainted away: and are troubled in thy indignation.


Sing ye to the Lord, who dwelleth in Sion: declare his ways among the Gentiles:


And I said: Woe is me, because I have held my peace; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people that hath unclean lips, and I have seen with my eyes the King the Lord of hosts.


And he said again to God: Let not thy wrath be kindled against me if I try once more, seeking a sign in the fleece. I pray that the fleece only may be dry, and all the ground wet with dew.
