Hearing, I heard Ephraim when he went into captivity. Thou hast chastised me: and I was instructed, as a young bullock unaccustomed to the yoke. Convert me, and I shall be converted: for thou art the Lord my God.


This is the observance of the victim, which the Lord hath ordained. Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee a red cow of full age, in which there is no blemish, and which hath not carried the yoke.


At that time he separated the tribe of Levi: to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to stand before him in the ministry, and to bless in his name until this present day.


Thy ancients and judges shall go out, and shall measure from the place where the body lieth the distance of every city round about.


And they shall bring her into a rough and stony valley, that never was ploughed, nor sown. And there they shall strike off the head of the heifer.


He humbled himself, becoming obedient unto death, even to the death of the cross.


Now therefore take and make a new cart. And two kine that have calved, on which there hath come no yoke, tie to the cart; and shut up their calves at home.
