And David said to him: Thy blood be upon thy own head. For thy own mouth hath spoken against thee, saying: I have slain the Lord's anointed.


And their blood shall return the head of Joab, and upon the head of his seed for ever. But to David and his seed and his house, and to his throne be peace for ever from the Lord.


Moreover I shook my lap, and said: So may God shake every man that shall not accomplish this word, out of his house, and out of his labours. Thus may he be shaken out and become empty. And all the multitude said: Amen. And they praised God. And the people did according to what was said.


That giveth upon usury and that taketh an increase: shall such a one live? He shall not live. Seeing he hath done all these detestable things, he shall surely die: his blood shall be upon him.


Then he that heareth the sound of the trumpet, whosoever he be, and doth not look to himself, if the sword come, and cut him off: his blood shall be upon his own head.


And if the watchman see the sword coming, and sound not the trumpet: and the people look not to themselves, and the sword come, and cut off a soul from among them: he indeed is taken away in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at the hand of the watchman.


He that curseth his father, or mother, dying let him die. He hath cursed his father, and mother: let his blood be upon him.


And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words: going forth out of that house or city shake off the dust from your feet.


They say to him: He will bring those evil men to an evil end; and will let out his vineyard to other husbandmen, that shall render him the fruit in due season.


Therefore I say to you, that the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and shall be given to a nation yielding the fruits thereof.


And his servants going forth into the ways, gathered together all that they found, both bad and good: and the marriage was filled with guests.


And the whole people answering, said: His blood be upon us and our children.


And I say to you that many shall come from the east and the west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven:


And blaspheming, many other things they said against him.


And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off even the dust of your feet, for a testimony against them.


But they, shaking off the dust of their feet against them, came to Iconium.


And oftentimes punishing them, in every synagogue, I compelled them to blaspheme: and being yet more mad against them, I persecuted them even unto foreign cities.


But to them first that are at Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and unto all the country of Judea, and to the Gentiles did I preach, that they should do penance, and turn to God, doing works worthy of penance.


Be it known therefore to you, that this salvation of God is sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it.


Is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also.


Impose not hands lightly upon any man, neither be partaker of other men's sins. Keep thyself chaste.


With modesty admonishing them that resist the truth: if peradventure God may give them repentance to know the truth,


If you be reproached for the name of Christ, you shall be blessed: for that which is of the honour, glory, and power of God, and that which is his Spirit, resteth upon you.


Wherein they think it strange, that you run not with them into the same confusion of riotousness, speaking evil of you.
