And he gave them the spears, and the arms of king David, which were in the house of the Lord.


And he brought forth the king's son, and put the diadem upon him, and the testimony. And they made him king, and anointed him. And clapping their hands, they said, God save the king.


And you shall compass him round about, having weapons in your hands. And if any man shall enter the precinct of the temple let him be slain: and you shall be with the king, coming in and going out.


And he stood before the altar of the Lord, in presence of all the multitude of Israel, and stretched forth his hands.


And before it the altar of holocaust:


And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord: and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men having their backs towards the temple of the Lord and their faces to the east: and they adored towards the rising of the sun.


Between the porch and the altar the priests the Lord's ministers shall weep, and shall say: Spare, O Lord, spare thy people: and give not thy inheritance to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them. Why should they say among the nations: Where is their God?


That upon you may come all the just blood that hath been shed upon the earth, from the blood of Abel the just, even unto the blood of Zacharias the son of Barachias, whom you killed between the temple and the altar.


From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, who was slain between the alter and the temple: Yea I say to you, It shall be required of this generation.
