Be not afraid of sudden fear, nor of the power of the wicked falling upon thee.


I, I myself, will comfort you. Who art thou, that thou shouldst be afraid of a mortal man and of the son of man who shall wither away like grass?


Be not afraid at their presence: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.


O Lord, thou knowest, remember me, and visit me, and defend me from them that persecute me: do not defend me in thy patience, know that for thy sake I have suffered reproach.


I have made thy face like an adamant and like flint. Fear them not, neither be thou dismayed at their presence: for they are a provoking house.


And fear ye not them that kill the body, and are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell.


Fear not therefore: better are you than many sparrows.


He that findeth his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for me, shall find it.


For he that will save his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for my sake, shall find it.


And every one that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall possess life everlasting.


Jesus answering, said: Amen I say to you, there is no man who hath left house or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my sake and for the gospel,


For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel, shall save it.


LET not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.


Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.


For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.


For which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I powerful.


For unto you it is given for Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.


Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he hath been proved, he shall receive a crown of life, which God hath promised to them that love him.


Behold, we account them blessed who have endured. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is merciful and compassionate.


As Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters you are, doing well, and not fearing any disturbance.
