Then answered some of the scribes and Pharisees, saying: O teacher, we wish from thee a sign to see.


A generation evil and adulterous a sign seeks; and a sign not shall be given to her, except the sign of Jonas the prophet. And leaving them, he went away.

And as he drew near, seeing the city, he wept over her, saying:
