To what but shall I compare the generation this? Like it is boys in markets sitting, and calling to the companions of them,


Beware of the scribes, those wishing to walk in robes, and loving salutations in the markets, and first seats in the synagogues, and first places in the feasts;


in the brotherly kindness, towards each other tender affection; in the honor each other going before;


nothing in strife or vain-glory, but in the lowliness of mind others esteeming exceeding yourselves;


I wrote to the congregation; but the one loving to be first of them Diotrephes not receives us.
