Exodus 31:17
13 Tagairtí Cros

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good indeed.  Evening came and then morning: the sixth day.

while the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God  shouted for joy?

For the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them in six days; then he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.

‘Tell the Israelites: You must observe my Sabbaths, for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, so that you will know that I am the Lord who consecrates you.

The Israelites must observe the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generations as a permanent covenant.

‘If you avoid desecrating the Sabbath, from doing whatever you want on my holy day; if you call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy day of the  Lord  honourable; if you honour it, not going your own ways, seeking your own pleasure, or talking business;  ,

I will take delight in them to do what is good for them, and with all my heart and mind I will faithfully plant them in this land.

I also gave them my Sabbaths to serve as a sign between me and them,  so that they would know that I am the Lord who consecrates them.

Keep my Sabbaths holy,  and they will be a sign between me and you, so that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’

For the person who has entered his rest has rested from his own works, just as God did from his.
