David knew that the Lord had made him king of Israel and that he had made him a powerful ruler for the good of his people.


Solomon ruled every kingdom between the Euphrates River and the land of the Philistines down to Egypt. These kingdoms paid him taxes as long as he lived.


King Hiram of Tyre had always been friends with Solomon's father David. When Hiram learned that Solomon was king, he sent some of his officials to meet with Solomon.


David now knew that the Lord had made him a powerful king of Israel for the good of his people.


And powerful kings have ruled Western Province from Jerusalem and have collected all kinds of taxes.


Later, King Xerxes promoted Haman the son of Hammedatha to the highest position in his kingdom. Haman was a descendant of Agag,


You rescued me from stubborn people, and you made me the leader of foreign nations, who are now my slaves.


They come shouting, “People of Israel, praise the Lord God!”


Make other rulers bow down and all nations serve him.


“I have chosen David as my first-born son, and he will be the ruler of all kings on earth.


In the future, the mountain with the Lord's temple will be the highest of all. It will reach above the hills; every nation will rush to it.


On that day people will be slaughtered and towers destroyed, but streams of water will flow from high hills and towering mountains.


People of Israel, you come from Jacob's family and the tribe of Judah. You claim to worship me, the Lord God of Israel, but you are lying.


His power will never end; peace will last forever. He will rule David's kingdom and make it grow strong. He will always rule with honesty and justice. The Lord All-Powerful will make certain that all of this is done.


People of Babylon, you live along the Euphrates River and are surrounded by canals. You are rich, but now the time has come for you to die.


During the time of those kings, the God who rules from heaven will set up an eternal kingdom that will never fall. It will be like the stone that was cut from the mountain, but not by human hands—the stone that crushed the iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold. Your Majesty, in your dream the great God has told you what is going to happen, and you can trust this interpretation.


“And I saw this vision about the Amalekites: Their nation is now great, but it will someday disappear forever.


Nathanael said, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God and the King of Israel!”


At the sound of the seventh trumpet, loud voices were heard in heaven. They said, “Now the kingdom of this world belongs to our Lord and to his Chosen One! And he will rule forever and ever!”


One of the seven angels who had emptied the bowls came over and said to me, “Come on! I will show you how God will punish that shameless prostitute who sits on many oceans.


The oceans you saw the prostitute sitting on are crowds of people from all races and languages.


On the part of the robe that covered his thigh was written, “KING OF KINGS AND Lord OF LordS.”
