Then Moses got into trouble for speaking in anger.


They challenged God by saying, “Can God provide food out here in the desert?


The people started complaining to Moses, “Give us some water!” Moses replied, “Why are you complaining to me and trying to put the Lord to the test?”


Being killed with a sword is better than slowly starving to death.


One day the Israelites started complaining about their troubles. The Lord heard them and became so angry that he destroyed the outer edges of their camp with fire.


Is the Lord leading us into Canaan, just to have us killed and our women and children captured? We'd be better off in Egypt.”


But 14,700 Israelites were dead, not counting those who had died with Korah and his followers.
