Abram bowed with his face to the ground, and God said:


When the crowd saw what had happened, they all bowed down and shouted, “The Lord is God! The Lord is God!”


David saw the Lord's angel in the air, holding a sword over Jerusalem. He and the leaders of Israel, who were all wearing sackcloth, bowed with their faces to the ground,


I was then alone, so I bowed down and cried out to the Lord, “Why are you doing this? Are you so angry with the people of Jerusalem that everyone must die?”


and at the sound of his voice, I fell facedown in a deep sleep.


The Lord sent fiery flames that burned up everything on the altar, and when everyone saw this, they shouted and fell to their knees to worship the Lord.

But the two men bowed down and prayed, “Our God, you gave these people life. Why would you punish everyone here when only one man has sinned?”


When Moses heard this, he knelt down to pray.


“Stand back! I am going to wipe out these Israelites once and for all.” They immediately bowed down and prayed.


But the Lord told Moses, “Put Aaron's stick back! Let it stay near the sacred chest as a warning to anyone who might think of rebelling. If these people don't stop their grumbling about me, I will wipe them out.”


Moses and Aaron went to the entrance to the sacred tent, where they bowed down. The Lord appeared to them in all of his glory


Jesus walked on a little way. Then he knelt with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, don't make me suffer by drinking from this cup. But do what you want, and not what I want.”


“Neither,” he answered. “I am here because I am the commander of the Lord's army.” Joshua fell to his knees and bowed down to the ground. “I am your servant,” he said. “Tell me what to do.”


The Lord answered: Stop lying there on the ground! Get up!


At the same time the 24 elders knelt down before the one sitting on the throne. And as they worshiped the one who lives forever, they placed their crowns in front of the throne and said,


The four living creatures said “Amen,” while the elders knelt down and worshiped.


The angels who stood around the throne knelt in front of it with their faces to the ground. The elders and the four living creatures knelt there with them. Then they all worshiped God
