After everyone had been counted, David realized he had done wrong. He told the Lord, “What I did was stupid and terribly wrong. Lord, please forgive me.”


“Please pray to the Lord your God and ask him to heal my hand,” Jeroboam begged. The prophet prayed, and Jeroboam's hand was healed.


The Lord is constantly watching everyone, and he gives strength to those who faithfully obey him. But you have done a foolish thing, and your kingdom will never be at peace again.
