The wicked don't care about the rights of the poor, but good people do.


No one travels anymore; every road is empty. Treaties are broken, and no respect is shown to any who keep promises.


In that same town there was a widow who kept going to the judge and saying, “Make sure that I get fair treatment in court.”


For a while the judge refused to do anything. Finally, he said to himself, “Even though I don't fear God or care about people,


The owner then said to himself, “What am I going to do? I know what. I'll send my son, the one I love so much. They will surely respect him!”


Our earthly fathers correct us, and we still respect them. Isn't it even better to be given true life by letting our spiritual Father correct us?
