Then your people will worship and obey you for as long as they live in the land you gave their ancestors.


Then every nation will know that the Lord is the only true God.


But you are our Lord and our God! We ask you to keep us safe from the Assyrian king. Then everyone in every kingdom on earth will know that you are the only God.


Naaman and his officials went back to Elisha. Naaman stood in front of him and announced, “Now I know that the God of Israel is the only God in the whole world. Sir, would you please accept a gift from me?”


and you rule with strength and power. You make people rich and powerful and famous.


Do you have a powerful arm and a thundering voice that compare with mine?


But you were true to your name, and you rescued them to prove how mighty you are.


You are the most fearsome of all who live in heaven; all the others fear and greatly honor you.


Because of the mighty power he had used against the Egyptians, the Israelites worshiped him and trusted him and his servant Moses.


struck down by fear. Our Lord, your powerful arm kept them still as a rock until the people you rescued to be your very own had marched by.


“Don't be afraid!” Moses replied. “God has come only to test you, so that by obeying him you won't sin.”

And if you and your descendants want to live a long time, you must always worship the Lord and obey his laws.


Today the Lord will help me defeat you. I'll knock you down and cut off your head, and I'll feed the bodies of the other Philistine soldiers to the birds and wild animals. Then the whole world will know that Israel has a real God.
