I destroyed them! I stuck my sword through my enemies, and they were crushed under my feet.


You made my enemies run, and I killed them.


But the Lord will take revenge on those who conquer you, and he will make them wander across desert sands.


The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right side, until I make your enemies into a footstool for you.”


The Lord is at your right side, and when he gets angry he will crush the other kings.


You made my enemies run, and I killed them.


You will overpower the strongest lions and the most deadly snakes.


Instead I will give it to your brutal enemies, who treated you like dirt and walked all over you.”


When I come to bring justice, you will trample those who are evil, as though they were ashes under your feet. I, the Lord All-Powerful, have spoken!


Then God, who gives peace, will soon crush Satan under your feet. I pray that our Lord Jesus will be kind to you.


The Lord has rescued you and given you more blessings than any other nation. He protects you like a shield and is your majestic sword. Your enemies will bow in fear, and you will trample on their backs.


God never said to any of the angels, “Sit at my right side until I make your enemies into a footstool for you!”
